DIANA BOYES Founder and Publisher
MENOPAUSE BECAME HER MOTIVATION
Diana Boyes experienced her first hot flash when she was 46 years old. It changed her life and subsequently changed the lives of many women around the world.
Menopause brought Diana to the brink of insanity. She was acutely affected by mood swings, depression and aching joints. Anxiety attacks were so severe she would have to go running from wherever she was. Doctors were unable to provide any solutions or options for her and so, in desperation, Diana began her own mission to find the answers.
After two years of asking questions, reading a multitude of books, calling experts (mostly in the USA), she started to realize that no one took menopause or women over the age of 50 seriously. She found that this age group of woman was being shoved to the side and discarded.
Diana found that many of the women she spoke with over the age of 45 didn't have a clue about their lives, where they were going, or what they were going to do. They were in a midlife crisis and didn't even know it.
After 35 years of publishing, marketing and advertising for national publications such as The Toronto Star, the Thompson Newspaper Group and the Black Newspaper group, she realized that all these years of media training were finally going to be put to good use - her way.
And... Timeless Woman was born in 2007. An online magazine designed to inform, educate, entertain and inspire the 50+woman. A vehicle designed to help and assist women find direction as they transition into ‘the better half of life.' A place where they can go to find the answers to our 'new life' questions.
The past two years have seen many changes for Timeless Woman as new direction and guidance is always provided to Diana directly from her readers. She thinks it is of the utmost importance to stay in touch with her readers in order to give them what they want.
Diana receives several hundred emails a day from women all around the world looking for guidance on transition, menopause, money, sex, dating, love and various other subjects that plague our lives. Timeless Woman does it's best to accommodate. Articles are now published on the 1st and 15of each month and TW Profiles are written about regular everyday baby boomer women who have learned to "Celebrate the Better half of Life" and are willing to open their hearts (and in some cases take the skeletons out of the closet) and tell their story.
Diana soon realized the hundreds of daily emails she receives were more than asking for advice or giving suggestions. They were cries of help from women who had no-where else to go. So...
Timeless Woman Friendship Chapters and Timeless Woman Live was born in 2009.
Timeless Woman Social Club
Since women's church groups started to dwindle significantly over the years, the opportunity for women to make new girlfriends after the age of 50 is almost impossible. If a friend passes on or a spouse passes away, we become isolated because most women in the 50+ age group have typically given their all to family and haven't allowed themselves the time form a bond or friendship with another woman. But on the other hand, for those of us who do have a friends and if something happens to that friend, we have nowhere else to go. Women NEED to bond, vent, laugh, cry and have fun with other women. We have a great desire to give back and support our friends when they need us. "Female bonding is one of the strongest powers on this earth. When women get together and make things happen, the world changes." says Diana. These friendship chapters are vital to the health and wellbeing of the 40+ and 50+woman.
